Is red wine good for you???

All alcohol is a poison that needs to be broken down by the liver and safely removed from the body. Alcohol therefore contributes to free-radical damage in the body. Red wine, and alcoholic drinks provide extra calories but offer minimal nutritional value. Red wine is experiencing attention due to ‘resveratrol, the red pigment that is an antioxidant linked to reduced risk of heart disease and increased cardiovascular health. Often ignored is the fact that red grape juice has the same benefits! Drinking wine stimulates the body and may interfere with sleep. Save the best quality organic red wine for weekends or special occasions, and treat yourself with red grape juice or other tasty beverages in between times. 1. Cory says:

I’ve never been big into wine, or any alcohol for that matter.

I can’t disagree with the unhealthy nutritional aspects of it… though I think it does hold a place in our overall health.

Used appropriately, it can help people develop emotionally and spiritually.
