Hemp oil is my oil of choice for all kinds of salads. It is so simple to splash fresh hemp oil on your salad, and then splash Braggs Vegetable Seasoning, lemon juice , or balsamic vinegar on, and Voila! you have instant salad dressing.
Why is hemp oil special? Hemp oil contains GLA (gamma linoleic acid), an acid that is important to our immune system, our brain, our hormones, and more. It is difficult to get enough GLA in the diet, as the liver needs to convert other fats into this form, and often the body is not doing this, as in the case of many people with disease, or learning disabilities. One tablespoon of hemp oil may have as much as 600mg. of GLA, a significant amount.
