WOW Cereal! (raw)

I’m eating cereal again!!! Most grain cereals leave me feeling unsatisfied and hungry again midmorning so I often use eggs or other protein sources for breakfast. But a friend named Karen from Nova Scotia introduced me to this raw cereal, and I love it! I have adapted it slightly by using heated goat milk to soak it for the 5 – 7 minutes, and I put a full scoop of raw hemp seeds on top to increase the protein content. Yummy!

Instant Breakfast With Attitude

½ cup unsweetened shredded coconut

¼ cup raw pumpkin seeds

¾ cup dried cranberries (unsulphured and sweetened with juice not sugar)

½ cup raisins (organic)

½ cup chia seeds

½ cup raw walnuts

½ cup sesame seeds

2 tsp. cinnamon

1 tsp. ginger powder

Pulse ingredients in a food processor until desired consistency. Store in a glass jar in refrigerator.

To use:

Heat ½ cup milk of choice (I use goat milk) or water and pour over 4 tbsp. of the mix. Let sit for 7 8 minutes.

Add ¼ cup of raw hemp seeds for extra protein.

Add other options if desired: chunks of fruit, or nuts.

This cereal is great for camping!
